I’d been running the design studio at a regional advertising agency for over 10 years when I had a moment of epiphany, or was it a mid life crisis? Either way I decided to cast aside the security of full time employment and set up my own graphic design company. Several years of hard work, lots of tears, pain, late nights and long weekends later, I can honestly tell you that I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’ve grown the business organically, through recommendations from people that I’d worked with or known and have managed to develop long term working relationships with all of my clients.
I have a network of Freelance designers who work as part of the Creative Star team when required and have recently expanded our services with the permanent addition of Jenny to the team. Jenny is absolutely mad about animation of all sorts and her enthusiasm knows no bounds. We’ll be showing more of our creative efforts on this website in the hope of sparking some creative thoughts amongst you as to how we could help you and your business.
Spare time
Mad about football, although I’ve officially had to hang up my boots due to the consistent ability to pick up an injury that requires some sort of surgery. It has been said that if I were a horse they would of put me out of my misery some time ago. Harsh but fair I think.
In the gym at 6:30 most mornings (ouch that hurts) and am always looking to develop my character both personally and professionally. Always willing to learn something new.
I’ve always had a passion for art and design and as I furthered my education I grew to love animation, especially Stop Motion. I have a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising and my dissertation was written on ‘The Creative Uses Of Motion Graphics On Our Screens Today’. I worked as an Intern at three London animation studios where my passion grew and I’ve spent many hours developing my skills with new software and techniques.
Spare time
I enjoy going to the Cinema to watch the latest movies, especially animated films, but that will come as no surprise. I also love to read and have a growing collection of books. Quite happy to take on all comers on the Wii and when I have the time it’s down the gym for a bit of body battering!
